1994年の、UKのクリスマスチャートのナンバーワンをとった、East 17の"Stay Another Day"です。
ナニゲに彼らも再結成したりしてるようですが、一番売れてたのはアルバム"Steam"の頃ですかねぇ。
つまりはこの曲が入ってるアルバムなんですけど。
これ以降はR&B色が出てきますね。私はもちろんそれでも好きだったんですけど。
イギリスに初めて行った年が1994年で、ホテルの部屋で同室の人とずーっとMTVつけてたんですが、そこでこの曲を聴いて（見て）、なんてキレイな曲なんだろうと思ったんだよね～。
そんでCDを、ヒースローの中の免税店で買った(笑)。
この頃から洋楽にハマり出して（その前からCD買ったりはしてたんだけどね。Pet Shop Boysとか）、今に至るのかなぁ。
今でも聴かない日はほとんどない曲です。mp3プレーヤーの容量が256MBの時から抜いたことがない(笑)。
私の古い知り合いの人たちは大体知ってると思うんだけど、聴いてことない人、良かったら聴いてみてください。
なんでもGirls Aloudがカバーしてるらしい…。どうなん？(笑)
